Mending Hearts Family Services has been providing quality mental health services to our community since 2008
In light of recent events in Arizona, we have made some changes to the services we provide. We have closed our Case Management program, stopped accepting the AHCCCS American Indian Plan, and stopped providing services to Behavioral Health Residential Facilities funded by AHCCCS. These were good sources of income for Mending Hearts and we are adapting to this loss as best as we can. We have trimmed our expenditures as much as possible, but it still is not enough to cover our monthly expenses.
Mending Hearts Family Services needs your help more than ever while we are in this transitional period. We are exploring other revenue sources, however those take time to finalize. We continue to serve hurting children and adults every day, however, without your domation we are facing the difficult decision of closure. We all know that COVID left us with a national mental health crisis on our hands. The rate of suicide, anxiety and depression is ever-present in Arizona and the nation. Our community needs Mending Hearts to stay open and continue to serve.

Friends and Supporters of Mending Hearts Family Services,
I am excited to announce that we are partnering with Roller Ranch owned by Jen and Billy Roller. Located in the beautiful, peaceful foothills of New River, Roller Ranch is home to wonderful horses, both full-size and miniature, and three goats. Check out their website at www.RollerRanchAZ.com. Mending Hearts will partner to provide the professional therapy side and Roller Ranch will provide the equine specialist expertise. Our combined goal is to develop a full range of equine assisted services and resources.
Some of you may remember that Mending Hearts received the assets from Envision Therapeutic Horsemanship, Inc. at the end of 2021. These assets are the foundation for building Mending Hearts at Roller Ranch, an equine assisted therapy program. We are so grateful for the generosity, patience and support of the Envision Board of Directors.
We are planning to begin with providing horsemanship classes and limited psychotherapy sessions this fall. Then, as we are able, we plan to add therapeutic groups for underprivileged children, foster children, group homes, veterans, and trauma survivors in the future.
Mending Hearts will need your financial support to help build this new program. All donations are welcome and appreciated.
